I chose my theme because it was simple. Like you said in class you don’t want to make it complicated and you want to make everything easily accessible because if it is confusing it won’t be accessed as much and it won’t be interesting because the layout of the website will take away from the content on the website. The theme also helped me make my website Grant Theft Auto themed. I was able to put in two pictures and a walk-through of a GTA mission that what I think is very relevant to my paper because it talks about the ultimate choice. I chose to make my paper simple so it was easy to understand. And my website followed the same path. I chose my general color as white because when I look at white on this website I imagine the white picket fence with a nice family which symbolizes a version of the American Dream that was fairly common around the ’50s and is still what many people envision when there is any mention of the American Dream.
The layout goes as such; Home, Blog, Argument One, Two, Three, Conclusion, Choices (this page), and Contact. Every page that you click on contains this on the top of it so it is easy to understand and locate things for reading, viewing, and grading.
I have a recurring video on every page at the bottom of it so that the reader can juxtapose each of my arguments with the final mission and see what similarities and differences in my paper enhance and prove my argument in the gameplay.
At first, this website only had journal entries on it, when I was creating the website the website was my journals with my paper on it, but now it is a wholesome website covering my English 1101 experiences through the journals and my most important paper this year.
